Originally posted by Royce Howland It's a bit difficult to judge the price or value of the Pentax DA 25mm because virtually nobody has made a lens wider than 30 - 35mm for any medium format system, with the modern specs and performance of the Pentax lens.
Hasselblad has a 24mm and a 28mm for their H series cameras, Leica has a 25mm for the S, Mamiya a 28mm for their Phase cameras, Rodenstock has 23mm and 28mm lenses for tech cameras, and Schneider has 24mm and 28mm lenses. All modern lenses, all a little or a lot more than the Pentax, except for the Schneider lenses. In the MFD world, that would be virtually everybody.

The new wide-angle zoom appears to be a 33-55mm lens. I think it will be in line with the DFA pricing rather than the FA pricing.
