I can't make the comparison directly, but (bokeh and central shutter aside) I find it hard to imagine a lens much better than the Pentax 645 120mm. If the 'blad is better, it can't be by much.

I have some of both, but probably mostly A lenses. The auto-focus is lost on my being a landscape shooter, so really I am looking for great optics. Two of the best IQ lenses in my kit are A-lenses (A 35/3.5 & A 120/4 macro) which are truly dynamite. The economics are very good for the A lenses these days, if your shooting does not require AF. good luck!

Thanks for all the discussion here! I think I should hit the FA 120 and maybe the A for anything wider, only the portraits I do would really use the auto (although I do try to manual those too, just to be better at it)

I find the 55mm lens very useful to have. But YMMV. I have the 25DA and 35A - both are stunning. If I didn't shoot lots of water, I'd say stitching with the 35 would work fine (and be much cheaper). But for me, the 25mm helps a lot...

I have paired a 45mm plus a .5x screw on and gotten good iq, I have also used this combo to stitch as many as four photos together. this works fine for static scenes. I am thinking of getting a 35mm to pair with the .5x for action scenes.
