actually the DFA 90mm has some sort of composite body (plastic). its like the whole thing is made of lens hood material. in fact , its possible to bind up the focus by holding the lens too firmly which will cause the barrel to go out of round. very strange to work with when switching from a P67 55-100 which is literally built like a tank……..

The 45-85 and the 120 Macro + the 150-300 is also metal to name a few.....

You're correct about the metal bodies on the FA lenses (they sure look plastic and my 120 even feels plastic).

However, the weather sealing, internal focusing motor, internal stabilization, more complex optical formula with more elements are going make the new lens heavier.
