Bellows for 645Z

Is there any reason why this type of thing wouldn't work on a Pentax 645 system?

It would work but the electronics wouldn't and you would have to change the lens mounts. I would try to find the bellows for the Mamiya 645 manual focus system. No electrical contacts and those particular bellows were much more versatile in their movements.
You could even leave the Mamiya mount on the front and use lens adapters for lenses from bigger medium format cameras. You know, if Hasselblad made bellows for their V system, you could just use a Hasselblad lens adapter on your Z, maybe if Kiev made bellows, it would work as well. hmmmm, time to go ebay.
