Thanks for the detailed info on tilt - shift options for the P645 System. Do you have any recommendations for general landscape photography? I am especially interested in the Mamiya 50mm shift lens which I have used with the Mamiya AFD Cameras as well as the Hartbeli 45mm T?S lens which I have also used on the Mamiya Syetem.

I just replied Zörkendörfer and requested further details, like examples from a 645Z /w 67 Pentax 45/55mm lenses and the Pro-Shift adapter.
I doubt the 45mm is sharp enough at any aperture, but the 55mm perhaps.
If necessary, I could also visit them instead of risking a trail and error purchase, as Munich (home of Zörk) is just 200km from my place.

As soon as I know more, I'll let you guys know.

I just purchased a Mamiya 50mm Shift lens which has been modified to fit a Pentax 645 Body from Zörkendörfer Film & Phototechnic in Germany. My experience with this lens on the Mamiya AFD has been very good so hopefully it will do as well on the P645Z.

I wonder if an A35 could somehow be cobbled together to make at least a tilt lens with a little shift given that doesn't have cover the entire 60 x 45mm (56 x 41.5mm) frame but should be able to cover the 645D or Z frame (44 x 33mm). Just wondrin'

This would have been also my choice. The alternative (Schneider for P6) is very hard to find.

I'm presumably going to test the Zörkendörfer Pro Shift Adapter along with the 45mm and 55mm Pentax 67 lenses against the Zörkendörfer factory converted Mamiya 50mm.
Very likely I’m also going to test the Zörk Multi Focus System.
Ideally, the test should be conducted including also the Hartblei 45mm, however I don’t know where to get one, yet.

Very interested in your findings, Gonzo. I'm looking at getting a 645Z, but a high quality Tilt/Shift option is imperative for me.

After my Partners in Kiev requested , I should test this for them, they sent me a Hartblei 45mm TS Superrotator, newest version (=Phase One Version - # 0621 - same as tested by Michael Biondo)
I got my hands on a 645Z for 2 Hours and did some testshootings. here are 2 samples , the 2 shown here have been shot with f16 @100 ISO.
The weather was pretty bad, but I think it shows what is needed to be seen.
The files were shot as DNG and worked on in Lightroom and Photoshop CC2015. Especially Lightrooms chroma removal did a very good job, I also removed a bit of distortion with LR. One Image is unshifted, the other one shifted 10mm upwards.
Overall: I´d say this is pretty usable, as I mentioned before, you have to know how to treat this stuff.

I have upload these files as jpgs to my server in full res. (take your time to let it load in full - it´s in 3x runs now and the files are about 60 MB each !!!)

Michael - the 35mm SMC Pentax-A 3.5 MF is one of the sharpest wideangles on the market. But there are no movements with it on the 645z.
Again: the 45mm has a strong field curvature and needs to be focused very carefully.

Stefan, I have great respect for the work that you and your partners do. IMHO, this lens just did not work for me. It may work well for others but not for me.
I could not get the jpegs to load completely (gave it 5 minutes), I would be interested if you put up raw files on dropbox.

Hi Michael

the camera is best focused with life view, with that kind of resolution it´s simply a must.
Optical viewfinders are ruled out now for precise full res work, especially with delicate specialty lenses like the Hartblei TS 45mm.

Hi guys

Seems time to test shift options for the 645z

I have just received my Zoerk ProShift adapter and am currently testing it with the SMC Pentax 67 45 mm and the 55 mm. The 55 is simply stellar - and you can shift it 20 mm. Tack sharp in the corners starting at f8. The 45 mm is much softer - mainly towards the corners - and therefore quite delicate for focussing. The resolution does not fully match what the 645z is asking for, but it is possible to make decent prints on this data as well - and you can also shift 20 mm. There is color fringing which can be corrected in LR/PS.

The adapter is very nicely made - not cheap but worth its money - and you can use it with both lenses - eventually also with others. In comparison with the quality of the 28-45 you can see that the coating of these older lenses does not reach these brilliant colors - but they are really ok.
