I agree, the A 35mm and A120 are both superb, though the new D-FA90mm f/2.8 is stealing a bit of the 120mm lenses thunder.

Manual focus feels wonderful, but is a bit of a pain compared to good AF. That said, I have the A-35mm and A-150, and both are good lenses that fulfill their purposes at a very attractive size and price.

agree 100%. There is something very satisfying about picking 4 A-lenses for the price of one FA lens.

My eyes are not manual focus friendly. My 645D doesn't have live view like the Z.

The dot indicating right focus works very well on my 645D for manual focus lens. Maybe with one exception, the 300/4*. There it isn't that precise to alway show the great Quality this lens has at f/4 and 5.6. At f/8 it is alwys precise enough with that lens, too.
On the other Hand, a 300mm lens at 14x magnification (for 100% view) in live view isn't that grat eather. Even a Gitzo Systematic tripod can't avoid a completeley shaking pciture on the screen then. Live View is perfect for shorer lenses.

Good for driving but getting focus right is a different story.
