Does anyone know if the japanese version of the software will work in english?
It's likely that it will. I doubt they would code a JP specific version.

The installer of most Windows or Mac programs will usually bundle numerous language variations of the core files and help files. Sometimes the installer will auto-detect the language to use for installation, sometimes the user will be asked to nominate a language.

Perhaps one of the folks who have already installed the program could comment on whether they had a choice upon installation of what language to use?

It looks like this version is English only. Just the T&C has an option for English or Japanese.

Where did you get the software from? I just bought a camera and I heard it comes with it for some people. Mine did not. Unless I am missing something? Was there only one cd?

Thanks. Now, since this thing is in fact available, and some have even gotten it bundled, riddle me this , Batman: why is it not available in North America? (Batman=Ricoh in this case)

One interesting thing about that link to the IT2 product page on the Ricoh UK store site is that they don't say anything about the 645Z there.

Is that just an omission, or does it mean IT2 will work on other Pentaxes?

I know that it works on the Z, not sure if it does on any other bodies though.

I don't understand why it's not downloadable. I can't buy it here in the states anywhere.

Oh and by the way, there is no serial number either.
That might be why no one can get a copy right now, they are probably recalling all the cd's and re writing them so you have to install with a serial number.

Well, there are other forms of copy protection ...

But it's probably at low risk of piracy, so maybe they just didn't feel the need to require a serial. For one, they seem to be giving it away for free with the camera in some markets. Secondly, if it only works on the 645Z, it's not going to be of much use to anyone but a very select group of people world-wide.

Before I buy the CD- do any current users know the system requirements of Image Transmitter 2? I work on a mac (10.7 for now) and Windows 7, and want to make sure it'll work on those or if I should update my OS.

Also has anyone had any experience using this with the 645D yet? I have both a Z and D- it'd be nice to use the same program.

For windows machines there are not many problems you can find, it is not like Mac. I'm using it in Windows 8 that means it would work all the way down to probably windows 98...

To date, i've installed it on 3 of our macs. One of the macs uses 10.7.5, the other 10.9.4 and my mac is updated to the recent Yosemite, all works without any problems. Just a very simple installer, the program itself is tiny 2,4MB's, a complete waste of a CD if you ask me. I would say that this program would only work with the 645z. The 645d has the earlier program, Image Transmitter 1.
