This is a drunk, but quick shot at ISO 1600, two shots in DNG. If you pixel peeping, check out the proper exposed shot. Then take the under exposed shot and up the exposure so its the same as the proper shot, to see the increased noise you get when correcting mistakes that may happen in the real world. (and you can also resize the pic to the D810's 36mp, or resize to the 5DIII's 21mp to get an idea of how well noise is handled by the 645z compared to the competition). For me, in studio 400-800 is perfect as it allows me to lower the output of my strobes, allowing me to fire at the 1 fps, without sacrificing that much. (even 1600-3200 is fine with proper metering)

As you can tell by the samples, the shadow recovery is amazing, but comparing the two as you can see in noise levels, its better to get the exposure correct in the first place.

This was a shot I took at a concert in Sweden. Taken with the 645D with A 80 - 160 at 160mm at maximum aperture at 1600 ISO....
