"Shadows and Detail: A love letter to the Pentax 645z"

I dont know how many have seen this since Philip is know better in the video realm, but he's been playing with a 645z for a few months now

Shadows and Detail: A love letter to the Pentax 645z | Philip Bloom

"This is less a review and much more a collection of my thoughts and feelings about this utterly magnificent camera. I am far from an expert on reviewing a camera’s ability to take stills – I will leave that to the pros. My speciality is of course video cameras, moving images, but this camera is too special to me to not do a post on."

seems he likes it .....

Very nice writeup from Phillip Bloom, it's quite emotional and he works hard to show why the 645Z stands out amongst all others.

Well done! A bit of breathless excitement, but then again, I probably would feel exactly the same should I have come across a camera that fit so well in my perspective. Philip is reasonably balanced with his reviews, so his excitement is well taken.

I'm still in shock after looking at his photos.
There is no better real life 645z samples on the whole damn internet.
Artical itself is simply brilliant, it's obvious that Phillip loves the camera.
Because of the results and because of the camera itself.

"I still love the A7r and do us it for stills a lot, but when compared next to the big and beautiful 645z, it suffers. That’s saying something as the A7r stills are incredible" - Phillip Bloom
