Help finding 645D Eyepiece Part

Anyone know where to find the metal ring (washer shaped) screw in part that holds the rubber eyepiece in place on the 645D (and I assume 645Z) ???

Mike's Camera doesn't have it. I left a message this morning at the Ricoh parts dept., but haven't heard back just yet. When I called them about two years ago they said it was unavailable. I lost mine pretty early on (it unscrews a little to easily if you ask me) and have been using the camera for the past 2+ years without it, but an looking to sell my 645D now because I just bought a 645Z.

Have you asked KEH? They do both repairs and used cameras and are generally very easy to deal with over the phone.

Fast response from KEH...they don't sell parts.

Ricoh doesn't sell parts directly to customers any longer. They may make an exception if you are in the Pentax Professional Service or Pentax Advantage programs. Otherwise you have to go through a dealer or repair person.

Ryan:

The eyepieces from the 645 film bodies fit the 645D. The rubber is permanently attached to the ring however. You could use them as is or I suppose you could try to remove the hard rubber to free the ring and attach the 645D rubber eyecup. I have a couple if you're interested and I'm sure KEH has them. Are you sure it's worthwhile to sell the 645D? Seems like an inexpensive (at these price levels) back-up.

I tend to agree with Thomas . The metal washer from any 645 should work as a replacement . Of course you could always steal the one off your Z to ensure you have a happy D customer.

Congrats on the new purchase, can't wait to see what you come up with. If you get the 28 - 45, be careful not to knock the hood into the sea like I did. I figured I could use the hood from my FA 35. Doesn't work, as the circumference is bigger than 82mm for the hood as it is recessed. I need to find another one as the lens is more susceptible to flare now....
