Pentax 67 battery

Hi I have one issue with the battery. Because of the cold weather, the battery sometime stop that I get the dark film negatives because of the shutter plane. I know that I should buy the remote battery cord but it's TOO expansive. Is there any alternative solution for this?

Keep a second battery in your pocket and swap it every roll of film. The one you removed from the camera goes into your pocket to warm up.

Otherwise spend the money and get the remote battery cord it’s your only real option if you frequently want to shoot in the cold.
