Pentax smc DA 645 25mm f/4 AL (IF) SDM AW Lens filters

Hello,
yesterday I bought 25mm lens for my 645z from second hand without manual instructions. I'm looking for something like manual pdf instruction or maybe someone can help me and describe (I'm amateur) what is this small filter 40.5mm inside my lens?
Thank You

It's just a rear-mounted drop-in filter, since there's no filter thread on the front of the lens. You can use traditional filter types such as ND, UV, or polarizers depending on your needs.

Hello Adam,
thank You. I understand but what is this horizontal scroll on the left from this release filter button?

It's specifically designed for the circular polarizer filter, which should have been included. You have to be able to rotate the polarizer to apply it to different parts of the image.

Hello tk78,

It is also possible to use traditional, rectangular filters with the 25mm if you want more flexibility in positioning your Grad ND and more choice of filters. You'll need the Formatt Hitech system, using the ring T 16-28 for tTokina lenses works just about perfectly with the Pentax 25mm 645 - since I sold the 25mm, I have one of such systems that needs to go, ring, adapter, a few filters and such. PM me if interested.

Indeed - one could experiment with their new filters on some beautiful scenery first, and enjoy some great food once off the fields as well
