On Location & Behind The Scenes w/the 645z

Hey all, here are some images I shot on location on a video project in New Orleans a few weeks back.

As primarily a Nikon D4 shooter, the 645z image files have sooo much more latitude when shooting raw. It's amzing what you can save in both the highlights and the shadows. I do find that underexposing a bit provides better latitude when working in LR than overexposing.

The only thing is that as weather sealed and solid as it is, my D4 feels a bit more bullet proof. Maybe I just need to shoot it more and not be afraid of breaking my $8.5K tool!

All images were shot using the 35mm & 75mm primes.

Feedback is always appreciated from the Pentax veterans on this forum!

Enjoy!

That's it's exactly what it is... a tool and that's why we take on such expensive insurance premiums to cover these eventualities.

Beautiful work. Doing stills behind the scenes is what got me into photography in the first place back in film school.

@Kerrowtown, exactly! That would be a good thread, comparing insurance carriers, coverage, premiums, deductibles, etc.

@zackhuggins, thanks man. Much appreciated! BTS is still my favorite type of photography as there are rich scenes and subject matter everywhere.

@Stavri, will do!

Thanks for checking out my work!
