I don't expect it to go too viral though as I didn't compare it to canon or nikon therefore the keyboard warriors don't have anything to get angry over.
You need to read some of Ken Rockwell's writings to see how to really generate clicks...

I think it is an excellent review. Hopefully medium format is someday a little more in reach. The 645D is not too expensive right now, but has a lot more compromises than the 645Z.

Thanks for your excellent review. The images are fantastic, and I was very interested in seeing how the 110/f2 did on the 645Z.
I was surprised at that crop... it's amazingly sharp even wide open. Was that at 100% magnification? really impressive if so. Want one for myself now.

Very solid, real world use appreciation. I would stop short of "review", the modern context being pretty exhaustive (do you really want to shoot a bunch of repetitive studio shots, and then analyze them, and create a bunch of very helpful graphs? Not your business, I think...). But they leave out a lot of things that are pertinent to actual usage, and you cover those well for what you are shooting. Good job

Yes 100%, I can put the raw online if you like?

Having said that, most shots I take with that lens are a smidge out of focus. The DoF is incredibly thin at f/2. But it doesn't matter if they are a smidge out they still look & print great.

Sure.

That's to be expected, having extensively used an 85mm 1.2 lens on Canon, I'm no stranger to narrow DoF. I would sometimes just prefocus and move back and forth to get focus lol.

I've daydreamed about a Pentax FA 110mm/f2 Limited lens...

As much as I hate to say this, you're 100% correct. There's a reason so many newspapers are sensationalist these days.

If you don't catch the reader's attention, you're not going to get a lot of hits. It's the cold, hard truth.

Don't know how I missed this one. Excellent write up Gavin.

It was Chris Giles's review that convinced me the Pentax was a good buy. Now my own experience and reviews like yours just confirms my decision was a good one.
