I was thinking about this a bit more - I think 150mm and 300mm would be a great combo - the 300mm would give you some real reach and super bokeh powers.

since I already have the 80-160mm a lens, portraits are covered. the 200mm and 400mm fa's are work horses for me.. coupled with the 1.4 and 2.0 tc's i'm in fat city. manual focus is no hassell for me.

The 120 macro is wicked sharp at portrait distances, in addition to being a 1 to 1 macro. What's not to like??

the fa 200mm f4.0 was my go to lens, I've since added the fa 400mm f5.6 and in fat city.
