Dust spot in 645Z viewfinder

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have had dust show up in the viewfinder of the 645Z. It seems that I have a black dot stuck in there between the focus screen and the eye peice. The question is how? Anybody got some tips on how to get rid of this spec within the viewfinder cavity?.

The dust particle is probably sandwiched between the focus screen and the pentaprism. Remove the focus screen and blow canned air over both sides of the screen then also on the pentaprism. Lot of people are leery of using canned air with camera gear but as long as you don't shake the can and spray with the can standing straight up and down, there is virtually no chance of the propellant from the can coming out in liquid form.

Or you could just play it safe with your $8000 camera and use a bulb syringe/ rocket blower

Ah, dust spots, the magic of reflex cameras. I ended up with a few in my Z after changing the focus screen. After cleaning and checking and cleaning and checking numerous times, I now just ignore them. Good luck.

I'm hesitant to touch the focus screen as I know how easily they are scratched/marked. And from previous cameras with scratched screens, I can live with this dust particle for now. Maybe when I send it in for a service next Ill get them to have a look.
