changing 67ii focus screen

can it be done with little to now issues by myself or do i need to have a repair person do it? somewhere I read, though I cant remember where. that if i replaced the screen i would need to re calibrate the infinity focus. is that true? if it needs to be sent someplace how much should I expect it to cost? I have a friend who gave me a split prism focus screen which i have been looking for, so I'm anxious to get it installed.

thanks

john

Hi John. I changed the screen on my 67II a few years ago. I had no problems, and didn't have to 're-calibrate' anything. I've changed screens on my old LX, my *istD, K10D, K20D, 645N and 645Z as well. None of them had any problems or needed a re-cal. As long as you know what you're doing, and are careful, changing focus screens on Pentax cameras are problem free. Good luck.
