FA 45-85mm NOT autofocusing on 645D body???

This is new gear to me so I am trying to find out if I am doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with the body or the lens or the camera settings. I can't figure out what is wrong with it? There is no sound from the body to suggest that it is trying to turn the screw drive. Camera has newest firmware. Contacts on the lens are clean. Camera body is new.

Is the lens set to auto focus by pushing the collar to the autofocus position?

Geez I knew it had to be something like that! I haven't had any of the 35mm FA series lenses but I've read about the collars, apparently not enough to realize that this was the case with the 645s as well. Thanks!
