Two Iceland 645z test prints

I have posted this to the 645z Facebook group, but posting here as well. I have not had the chance to do full size prints from the 645z until now, and comparing them to my 645D prints, I must say that the extra bit of resolution helps with fine textures in the images, not like the 645D is a slouch in this regard when properly focused. The camera profiles I have used are curtesy of torger.

Very nice indeed. I wish I could do the same, and I look forward to this kind of opportunity.

Looking very good. Files from the digital 645's beg to be printed, I'm glad you are doing it!

Ok first reaction "holy &*(#$%*&"

What kind of paper choices did you make? I'm looking to start printing and I have no idea where to start.

The test prints are just on epson matte heavyweight paper, a substrate I like for testing because of it's price. When I'm ready to do final prints I will most likely do them on Gahnemuehle photo rag or a similar paper. I like the Hahnemuehle range of papers, they have a subtlety to them that appeals to me. I think paper is a very personal choice, and not every paper lends itself to every image.
