Congrats! You won't be sorry with your purchase. And the 35mm A lens rocks :-)

Lots of great glass to choose from at dime on the dollar prices compared to any other mf system. And I picked up some great Carl Zeiss Jena glass which easily adapts.

Thanks for all the encouragement! I try not to get too attached to or excited for objects but that's all out the window now!

Are there any really awful 645 lenses I should avoid? At least that I don't already have?

If Mike's 645D images don't inspire, check your pulse!

My Pentax 200mm f/4 SMC-A lens for the 645 is my softest, lowest contrast lens. Thru the finder it looks as if the glass has hazing, but it doesn't and it was like that since day one. I would put it in the "awful" list. Anyone use a manual focus 645 telephoto prime that they find exceptional?

Congrats on the new camera. Looking forward to seeing your shots with it, Matt. You have amazing country around there and do a great job of capturing it already. I'm sure medium format will be different -- a little slower process perhaps, but I still expect great things.

The 33 - 55 is a perfectly good lens in my opinion. Not as good as the DA 28 - 45, but a good lens nonetheless. If you can get a good copy for the right money, pull the trigger on that also.

Apparently the 45 you have isn't great. I have the FA45 and it's fine though not stellar...

Yeah, the 45 and the 200 may not be very good performers. I've got a A 35 on the way now and will probably get a A 120 macro next. The FA 80-160 looks nice and isn't too expensive used but I'll see what I like with what I have now that I have the wide end covered. Used prices are generally looking pretty good so that opens some options. I don't think I'll be getting any of those $5k lenses any time soon.
