Anyone had a look to see yet? Wouldn't that be a great xmas surprise if the 645Z was supported now! Quote "over 400 cameras supported" Wow really!!!!

Why would PhaseOne support the 645Z? They never supported the 645D.

They support Mamiya/Leaf, but no other medium format other than their own...

not supported, and yes it sucks

The silly thing is if they did support it, I'd move my workflow to it. And then in future I'd be far more likely to get a phase one than I am now.

Silly business IMO.

Phase One have said on their forum they will not support the Pentax 645D or Z.

I've been using C1 quite a while for the 645D. Think it was version 6. If I remember correctly, I had to use DNG instead of PEF.

You can use it if you change the DNG file so it reads as if it is another supported MF camera - rather painful. But in everyday use they will not support the D or Z.

It may have been different with ver 6, but over last couple of years it is not supported.

If you did dodge the DNG files you still would have no lens profiles or optimized sharpening algorithms etc or sensor profiles.

Shame really because any Z shooter is a potential P1 customer for their next camera. I will never buy one of their cameras because of this attitude. But I may get a Leica S one day, maybe if Pentax keep the large body in the next iteration for no reason. I would rather stay with Pentax though, they just have the right attitude for me as a landscape shooter, not perfect but close.
