New 645 zooms...

Any whispers around about the zooms on the roadmap?

I am on holidays in May and would love to see the new tele zoom drop before then.

We should know in about a month. There will most likely be launched something at or before CP+ in the end of february and roadmaps most likely updated.

Tell me about it!

If Pentax doesn't want to loose customers to Fuji, now more than ever they need to be releasing timelines and products rather than being hush hush.

Well, I won't be jumping ship---although the Fuji is remarkably small, it would not have been the way for me to go as I had Pentax lenses from my 645N as it was. In fact, that's what made the Z "affordable" (relentless choking/coughing....) for me. I also wonder about when all that Fuji stuff will finally be available. The lenses will set you back a pretty penny, and it's not yet clear how well legacy lenses of other makes will be able to be adapted.

Odd as it sounds, Pentax actually has a richer ecosystem of stuff for the Z, including flashes & etc. For my part, I am doubling down on Pentax: just sold all of my other gear, including my beloved Fuji GSW690II, my last film camera, and will be able to get a K1 to sit in support as my second, backup camera. Because, you know, if something goes wrong with my Z I'll be out my camera for months.... :-/
