What's an honest price for this kit?

Hi all,

5 years ago I more or less stopped with medium format and since then my 645 kit has been collecting dust in the closet.

I'm not looking to sell it in this topic I just want to find out a rough price estimate for later in the market place.

The kit consist of the following:

- 645 body
- 2 220 backs
- 1 120 back
- 3 piece set of auto extension tubes
- 150, 75 and 45mm lenses
- sturdy pelican case

One lens cap is missing and the other one is a non-Pentax. The gear has some really minor scratching on the paint but both business ends of the lenses are good. It has been put away in a working condition but you might want to check the seals after 5 year in a closet.

I'm not looking fur a huge price, I want a price that is fair for both seller and buyer but sets like these don't get sold much so I find it really hard to find the right price point.

So, my fellow pentaxians, what do you think is the right price for a kit like this?

If you sell the 645 + 75mm + 120 back, possibly 230 to 250 for that alone. Sell the rest separately, and you'll get maybe 130 for the 150mm, and possibly a bit more for the 45mm. The extension tubes will probably fetch about 60-70. The 220 backs aren't things people want too often due to the lack of 220 film, so either include them with the camera, or flog them with a BIN of 9.99 maybe (if they don't sell, don't be scared to drop the price). So I guess in total, about 570 ish. If you were to sell the kit as a whole, you'd be lucky to get 400 for it sadly...

(If you're not from the UK, then sorry about that!)

I don't have a clue to the price, just the comment that you mayt be better off selling the individual pieces. You may be hard pressed to find someone that wants it all. But there may be bigger markets for each component. In the Marketplace you can list it both ways.

Go to ebay and look for similar gear on sale that you can follow and see if there's an average price they're selling for. Chances are you won't find an exact set that mimics yours that's up for sale. But, if you look at the pieces individually, you'll get a good idea of what people are paying.
