120 Love have the 67 105mm lens T-shirt

The 67 105mm is a pretty amazing lens, as everyone knows.

the 120 Love made a t-shirt for it: LENSPORN - 105mm / 120 Love

It is quite expensive though, at $31+ shipping.

The most expensive T-shirt I have bought is the P67 t-shirt at $29 + shipping, by Dodge and Burn: Pentax 6x7 T-Shirt by Dodge and Burn - Photo Industry News | PentaxForums.com

decision decision....

"Amazing lens"?? Really?
Seriously, there are much better lenses in the Pentax stable.

So far as standard lenses go, I can't think of any? The 645 75mm isn't all that sexy (good lens on a great format). The 43mm f1.9 and a50 f1.2 are top notch (and the k55 f1,8 isn't far behind), but the bokeh from the 105 beats the crap out of all of them. The 24mm 110 is very sweet, as is the 8.5mm Q standard prime. But I still don't think they match the 105. Don't get me wrong, Pentax has some fine glass, but I honestly do believe that the 105 f2.4 is the finest standard prime they have ever made. (I have lenses I consider to be better, but we're talking macro or telephoto lenses)

That t-shirt isn't my cup of tea, but I fully understand why it exists....

Do tell, please. We all would like to see your list. Thanks.

Oh, wait-----that's 120 film love, not love for the 120 lens for 645, which I thought was among the best of the Pentax medium format lenses of old.

I've used the 105 on a 67II. Love it. Want the 55mm.
Friend has a D&B shirt (different camera). Looks like a design from the 80s, whereas the one you posted looks more "now" design; especially with that big print on the back.

Nowhere was it claimed to be the best Pentax lens ever. The OP simply said it was an amazing lens. Did that rub you the wrong way or something?

I met a guy working at a fast food restaurant who had the 105's lens diagram tattooed on his forearm. So apparently the OP is not the only one who thinks it's amazing.

People's opinion of the 105 vary depending on how you are using it. If you are using it for portraits, it does well. It has a huge following on facebook. If however you are using it for landscape work, its DOF is too limited. Same goes for macro work with tubes. For my work, I prefer the 55-100 or 90-180 zooms over the 105. I owned a 105 for 25 years, so I can't say I disliked it.

I use the 105 on a 645Z for landscape shooting and find it a wonderful focal length for certain scenes. My copy is blazing sharp at typical landscape distances and shooting at f/16 and f/22 gives me the depth of field I need for the type of compositions I make. I tested my 105 against two copies of the 55-100 zoom and one copy of the 90-180 and it was no contest (speaking only for my copy). The 40x30 print in my office of the following Utah autumn aspen grove shot with the 105 looks incredible, even with my nose right up to it:

Your mileage may vary when using these film lenses on digital cameras. My 105 and 55-100 yield similar performance results on film.
