645 w/ 200mm SMC lens, that's one long camera

Just picked up this lens. Wow that's a long camera, it wont even fit in my SLR bag, had to leave it at home! Can't wait to take some photos with this glass.

The 200mm is long? Really? How about a 500mm mirror Russian lens for a 645?

It's all relative, but for me this is pretty impressive. Not my longest lens, but definitely longest useful one.

Meh. Try walking around with a Canon 500mm F4 lens on your body

What does this lens have: 2000 elements in 956 groups?

No idea...
Not even sure what the lens is...

I just googled "biggest camera lenses" and found it.

That is kind of a long one (the 200) but my 67 300/4 dwarfs it!

It reads 'Fernbild' on the barrel, should be an Astro Fernbild, some information on it can be found on some German pages on Exakta/Exa cameras.

I bet! A local guy is selling a 67 300/4. I keep resisting the purchase, but I'd love to own that lens. I can imagine it's a real monster. Do you need a special bag for it?

I have a compartment set up in my Timbuk2 Snoop pack that holds it but it's at the expense of several other lenses!
It's been a pretty good performer as long I nail the focus which I can do much (but not all) of the time.
Good value for $170 (eBay).
