Pentax 645z took a hit and needs service.

So, I was in Iceland last week at Kirkjufell Mountain. That morning there were gale force winds that morning and the tripod toppled over even with my backpack hanging from it while my back was turned for a second.

The side of the camera is all scuffed and the battery door was broken. The camera still works now that I taped it closed, but now that I'm back I need to send it for service. So, where do I send it? It is out of warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

Vito.

Out of warranty, I recommend KEH.com. Flat fee, they will answer status requests and are honest.

Should I send it to KEH or the authorized center in CT?

Iceland! Ah, Iceland...
Hang onto everything and never turn your back on a tripod up there. Very especially around Gullfoss and Vatnajokull. And on the eerie beaches! The whole place is unpredictable, from the ground shaking, the waves pounding, the wind shredding and the rain pouring cats, dogs and Icelandic horses for good measure.
