shutter release cable?

Can someone recommend a long shutter release cable? I am new to cameras and I am having a hard to figuring out which one is compatable with my pentax 6x7. Do they make long ones that are like 5 or 6 feet long? I don't see any that specifically say pentax 6x7 on them.

Most threaded cable releases will work with the 6x7. If you need longer than 20" you may be limited to pneumatic type releases like this Kalt Air Shutter Release - 20' (6 m) NP10129 B&H Photo Video

I just recently got tired of cheap cable releases and bought this Kaiser Vinyl Covered Cable Release with T-Lock - 20" 206121

I have a pneumatic release, not too reliable. Also a set of thumb-press releases mechanical releases ranging from four inches to I believe thirty inches*, which was the longest I could find. I got that long one to get away from the camera while holding a flash in my hand (long PC wire).

*I have not looked at it for two decades or so and cannot remember precisely how long it is.

The longest I could find (non-bulb) is 60 inches. 40 inches is more common:
