I'm impressed by 14 FPS. How did they do that?

If it is true, Pentax is likely to get it first. The question is if Pentax can implement pixel shift in the new body. Interesting to watch.

If this is real, then 645z follower will come in 2019, since this sensor would come end of 2018. No worry's, since if this isn't real, by that time something new appears.

The comments are a hoot. They seem to have some issues with some other camera review site's editorial standards and conclusions.

if you just paint a picture of the scene, you have better dynamic range and NO noise at all... and it costs you like $10 for color and paper..
Seems logical to me that this is the next step in post-processing, bypass the sensor in order to produce better images.

Should be interesting to see what camera body or bodies it actually will be in, if it actually becomes an implemented reality. The demo zooming done in the video looked quite impressing.

The pixel densities would be around 3,8 micron for both sensors. While BSI works very well on small pixels (1-2 micron) it have little effect on larger pixels, except driving the price up. Its a product aimed at impressing fools, not to have a real world advantage.

A Fuji manger was giving an interview about the GFX and more specifically the new GFX lenses. In the interview he states that the new lenses are designed for a future Sony 100MP sensor, so its is coming. Not sure if it will be a BSI or not. What they need are faster sensors. Sensors that can clear at 30 or even 60 frames per second so that 4K and even 8K is possible. Lot of bandwidth.

Indeed. 100MP + Pentax pixel-shift ...

Finally, something digital that might come close to matching film resolution.
