The images are of the DA version so I'd e-mail them first to check which version they actually have for sale.

The D-FA is the version to get as it covers 645 film and future proofs your purchase as if/when a fullframe 645Zii is released it will cover that, too (unlike the DA version).

Good catch!....I asked them and they said 'compatible' with the 645Z , and it's a photo of the actual lens.....

It's a good price no matter what version it is.

I might be selling my D-FA 25mm as I picked up a 28-45mm and can't justify - to my wife - owning both!

I feel your pain!
I have the 28-45mm , so investing another 2000 in the 25mm for a slight gain in FOV is not justifiable......looking at getting a used 55mm though as it gives a 'real life' perspective, and images I have seen are also very sharp......Jason Bell uses a 55mm on his Phase for magazine and environmental work....

Actually, it's surprising how much difference the 3mm in focal lengths actually makes. The 25mm is smaller and appreciably lighter (which is very much appreciated if it's not the only lens in your camera bag!).

Good point...hadn't realised that.....I just assumed all the 'new' lenses were as beefy as the 28-45mm and the 90mm macro!....at least the 150mm is a nice lightweight lens....

MBP have listed the lens on eBay.co.uk. They've listed it with a Best Offer option so make an offer and see! They counter offered me 1,999 so that's a 100 saving on the price on their website.

Hint: e-mail them and offer a price that would be the same as what they would receive after eBay and PayPal fees are taken into account.

Yep, sold. I knew it wouldn't be there for long!

Due to my recent 28-45mm purchase I'll be listing on eBay.co.uk my 25mm D-FA (the full-frame version - which has zero vignettimg on 645 film! - sometime this week).
