Pentax 6x7 SMC Takumar 1:4/600 Question

Another Spotmatic-Fan takes part of the forum. And i like my ( all m42 ) SMCs 3,5/28, 4/50, 2,8/105, 2,5/135, 4,5/85-210
So i got a chance to buy a SMC-Takumar 6x7 1:4/600.
A fantastic lens for astronomy.
Does anybody knows the optical formula or construction in detail of the Pentax S-M-C Takumar 1:4 / 600 made after1971

Thank you
Tom

Thank you for these links
Unfortunately they only tell you 6 elements in 5 groups. I don't want to disassemble my lens.
Help!

Welcome to the forum!

The optical formula of all Pentax 6x7 lenses is posted somewhere on the forum. Try to search and you should find the post/thread.

Hi Phil,

That's it what i was looking for. Very thank you.
( the formula of the 1.4/800 is missing and it's labeled as SMC -M*67 800/6.7 ED [IF] )

I own one of these (600mm) and have shot it extensively. It uses conventional optical glass and is corrected for 3 colors ( probably red, blue and yellow) as seen by the triplet front section. It suffers quite a bit from spherochromatism, where colors at the optic margins do not focus at the same plane as those entering from the more central zones. In other words it fringes badly wide open. Stopped down to f/13-f/32, it performs very well.

Surprisingly, the 800/4 isn't just a larger version of the 600/4

Very thank you for this comparison.
I use my 600 at one wavelength Ha and sometimes OIII around 7nm bandwidth
so fringing does not matter. It's a good lens for astronomy.
