New 645 owner looking for HELP

Hi! I've used Pentax off and on since my K1000 back in 1992. I just bought a 645 from Japan and I love it. My first medium format. I'd really like to know it's age since they made them for several years. I added the serial number to the database, but that doesn't help me with my quest. Any super enlightened Pentaxers out there?!

Yours is one of the higher numbers in the database, that model was introduced in 1984, and the replacement (645n) in 1997, so it seems a fair guess that yours was made in the mid-1990s.

I was hoping so, thanks! Ya I read somewhere that one could call Pentax and get precise answer, but I haven't been able to locate the proper phone number yet.
