Originally posted by Silvertooth Please forgive if this has been asked and answered, but I could not find it after searching. Will the newer 645 DA lenses work on a 645N or 645Nii? From what I have read, I think they will, but thought I would ask the experts. I played with an old Adox medium format camera this past week and have been bitten with the medium format bug. I primarily want a film camera (for now), but desire the forward and backward compatibility I believe the Pentax gear offers.. Thank you fine folk for your time!

Yes they will, though DA lenses without an aperture right don't allow for manual aperture control on film bodies (so you'd be shooting in P or Tv), and any SDM-only lenses will require manual focus. Also, I'm not sure about how well the 28-45mm covers the full film image circle, though the other lenses should be fine.
The D FA 35mm will be fully compatible since it uses screwdrive and is essentially a modern refresh of the old film FA 35mm.
