Where did you get it? That's a stonking good price...
eBay - a seller in the U.S. He had 100% feedback and accepted returns so I pulled the trigger without too much concern. Sometimes fortune really does favour the brave!

To go with my Z I stumbled across a Mint HD D-FA 35mm on mpb.com that had been listed - and priced - as if it was a FA 35mm.

Time to buy a lottery ticket!

How much did customs and excise sting you for? I ordered a lens from Japan and it took 5 days longer for them to process it than it took to fly to the UK from Japan...

No Customs Duty (this time). Sometimes I get charged, sometimes I don't. It seems like it's only 3% (here on Guernsey in the Channel Islands) so if I see a good deal a factor that in, just in case.

Regarding new items, if I buy them from the U.K. VAT isn't applicable to Channel Islands residents so I don't get charged the extra 20%. That can really help when buying an expensive lens; I can save £100's.
