I'm trying to diagnose a weird problem with my new 645z.
The symptom is that I power on the camera and take a shot.
The shot comes out either all black, or just a bit exposed near the top.
It seems a bit like either the shutter is not firing properly or maybe the mirror isnt flipping up properly.
The weird part is I think it is a firmware bug, not hardware.
I have 1.30 firmware installed.

It doesn't happen every time - it's very rare and hard to reproduce.
It sometimes appears when I have changed lenses and power on the camera and take a shot.
For example, it did it once today with a FA 645 Zoom 1:4.5 45-85mm.

Anyone else seen this?

I'm thinking it could be an intermittent issue with the shutter. Could you post an example next time it happens?

I start to get the odd misfiring issue ( 1 in 3 ish ) just before the battery is about to run out, particularly when using studio flash with a trigger, bang in a freshly charged battery and the problem disappears - worth a check ?

Thanks for the interest. Adam, I will take a look through the images and see if I have a good example.
Chris, I don't think it is battery related, as I can take dozens of shots after this occurs and they are all fine. Am wondering if it might be temperature related - its been a few cold mornings where it has happened. Will keep this in mind.
