Capture Tethering Troubleshooting

Hi
I recently updated the firmware of my 645z to 1.30 and also I installed the Tether Capture plug-in for Lightroom , but I haven't been successful tethering, the software does not recognize the camera. I'm using a Mac with Mojave OS, in Ricoh's website says that this plug-in is compatible with High Sierra OS, which is the one before Mojave, do I need to downgrade my OS?? also in the top screen of the camera it says PC when I connect it to my computer, should it say Mac instead.

Thank you

Nacho

The firmware upgrade may have changed the camera's USB mode. Perhaps that's the issue? I believe the camera should be set to MTP mode, which is not the default.

Hi Adam

Thank you for your help, I actually make it work but I have to buy the Pentax Image Transmitter 2 software that cost $220, after I update the software it starting working, but when tethering it takes around 20 secs for the camera to transfer the image and see it on the screen, in other words a huge waste of money, have you heard about this situation?

Cheers

Nacho

It shouldn't be that slow, but it might be a good idea to only transfer JPEGs for previews to speed things up.

Also, this is assuming you have a fast (UHS-I) SD card, formatting it might help also.
