First Day with my 645Z.........Speechless !

I took my brand new 645Z out for its first ever spin tonight. The lens was a Pentax A 35mm f3.5
I have had the camera for over two months , but didn't yet have a lens until yesterday.
There is no other way to say this...….Im Completely Blown Away !
Im Speechless...…..In Shock !
I never knew what I had been missing since giving up my Mamiya RZ67ProII nearly 2 decades ago.
I looked at my very first converted raw file full size and simply couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Im just so happy over this I had to tell someone....

Thanks for sharing!

I just picked up a 645Z a few weeks ago and have not been able to do any serious shooting with it even though I have lenses. But my initial late night tests have shown me enough to make me concur with your reaction. I was telling a guest who is not a photographer about it the other day and realized that my level of excitement looking forward to using the 645Z would only be appreciated by those who already have one. I have a K-3ii and was planning on moving to the K-1/K-1 mark ii but went with the 645Z first.

Enjoy - I know I will!

Thanks for sharing.

For both posters above, did you purchase your 645z new or used?

My K1 produces much more detail than my Rollei 6003 years ago or my RB 67 back on ALPA 12.
A medium format digital camera/back will blow you away even more.
Enjoy.

I purchased it brand new. I also purchased the DA 28-45 lens separately.
However I had Heat Pump issues and had to sell the lens before I even took it for a spin.

I had a 645z for a short while recently. It's a mindblowing piece of kit. The amount of detail is staggering.

Really missing it but I needed the cash!

I can't say I am surprised.

I have had the same feeling since I got mine nearly 5 years ago. Harsh to read about your 28-45, and others problems. I empathize, as I have had my own. But I haven't had to clip my gear yet, and now I would most likely find anything else to sell.

My gear no longer limits me. I limit me.

Great to hear, Ronald.

A Melbourne fashion Canon shooter whose workshops I do occasionally, at the end of last year bought a secondhand 645Z and 55mm lens (unprompted by me), not a Fuji or a Hassy or a PhaseOne:

You, too, can have that 35mm lens if you wander over to the Marketplace . . .

P.S. I think I can I say that here. I checked the marketplace guidelines and didn't see anything regarding that. Apologies in advance if I missed a rule, and please delete.

My first day of shooting on my deck with my new (to me) 645Z and 45-85 confirmed that the files have that special quality hard to get with the smaller formats:

I'm a 645z addict so I understand your excitement. I'm sure one day you will be able to get a 28-45 again used but in the meantime a 35 and the 55 will serve well. Happy shooting!
