Pentax 6x7 mlu frame counter thinks its in 220 mode

Hello, so just started happening. I'm shooting with 120. I've toggled the counter switch and checked the plate. I'm having to advance and press the shutter an extra 10 times before the lever goes easy. would appreciate any help. thanks

Possibly a faulty 120/220 mode switch.

Make doubly sure the START arrow on the backing paper matches the start position of 120 when loading. If it is set to 220 you will get those extra "ghost" frames. Even experienced users of these cameras make this single most irritating stuff-up.
