Pentax 645nii first frame starts with 16 not 1 on the display panel

Hello guys. I have bought like new Pentax 645nii seocond hand. I installed film and frame counter showed 17. And I pressed shutter button automatically advance and showed 16 frame. This was the first frame for me. After that I took photos and frame counter went down 15-14.........1 and finish. There is no problem with loading film. I asked previous owner , He said it is normal. But;

I am looking owner manual, it says " The film automatically advances to the first frame .1 is displayed on the LCD panel" it doesnt say 16. Is it problem or normal from starts 16 first frame and count down. Thank you.

645nii Frame Counter

Check the custom functions. In the owners manual it states that the frame counter can be set to count backwards using Pentax function 7. Functions start on page 76 of the owners manual.
