The 'Z' on the CBS Sunday Morning

World's best dads: Father's Day, a day to celebrate dads, came about thanks to a woman - CBS News

If you watch this segment you'll see a photographer featured who appears to be shooting with a 645Z. I have seen more than a few people shooting with Z's over the years. I think it was something of an understated hit. I hope they keep it up with future models and lenses.

For the benefit of others watching, you can skip to 3:50 in the video if you don't want to watch the whole thing...

Yup! That's what it is Nice catch

Not sure exactly which lens it is... I'm sure 645D and 645Z owners here will immediately recognise it...

If the band is gold colored as it appears to be to me, then I think that identifies it as one of the "D" motion stabilized lenses. I don't own any, so I can't be more definitive.

Edit: After looking at the lens reviews 645 section, I have doubts that my premise is correct. It looks like some D lenses are not gold banded. So I'm going to guess
SMC Pentax-FA 645 45mm F2.8 from this site's lens data base.

I like the part where the daughter is taking the picture. Good training, though it may be spoiling her a tad.

I believe you are right, and I retract my 45mm guess. My 35mm has an anodized band that looks slightly goldish in some lighting. All other side-view characteristics match. +1
