Just got a Z and am trying to set it up like my Canon bodies , using rear focusing. I see the AF button on the Z but how do I remove the focus function from the shutter release button?
I've gone through the menus but can't seem to find this option. any hints? Thanks in advance!

Go to the 4th tab of the main (record) menu, select button customization, select AF button, then change the setting to "Enable AF2". This disables focusing during half-press.
