28-45 lens aperture stuck open

Hi my 28-45 aperture seems stuck open, over exposing in anything but program and shutter priority mode. Anyone know if this is an easy fix or do I need to send it out for repair?

Are you sure it's the lens and not the camera at fault?

I sold the camera and I was showing the lens to a prospective buyer. He mounted the lens and it would over expose because it was not stopping down. We tried the same setting with a different lens and the exposure was good.

Its an electronic aperture, right? I presume there is no mechanical lever on this lens.

Im having the same problem and its only on this lens. Is there any diagnostic or solution?
