90mm lens hood tilted... wrong one?

Hi everybody.
Just got a lens hood for my 90 mm (SMC Pentax 67 #8529189). Once screwed at the reasonable maximum, it ends being tilted. My opinion is that it is generation issue: I bought an old lens hood for a more recent lens. Anyone could confirm my guess please, and then tell me which hood should I buy if you know the answer.
Many thanks for your help.
Hubert

I don't know this lens or hood, but ideally there should have been some kind of lock ring on the lens hood to attach the hood in the correct position (apparently this wasn't planned for your hood). The different names suggest that the hood was designed for a older Takumar version of this lens, but the length and shape of the hood should be fine for your lens in my opinion. You could try to cut away a tiny bit from the hood until it gets in position.

Welcome to the forum!

The 67 90/2.8 uses a plastic clip-on PH-SB67 hood. The hood you have is for the older Takumar leaf-shutter 90mm lens.

Here's one on eBay:

Hubert,

If I recall correctly, the metal hood you have should have a very small screw that you can loosen to adjust the final orientation of the hood. I thought it was a small flat head - but it has been a while since I've had that hood on my 105mm (I can see about finding the old hood in the jumble of older 67 gear I have).

Thanks everyone. So I definitly don't have the right one because of a generation issue. Many thanks for your quick and detailed answers.
