Pentax 645 with three A lenses

I have an opportunity to buy a Pentax 645 body (not the N model) together with three Pentax A lenses f/4 120mm macro, f/2.8 45mm and f/4.5 80-160mm zoom.

The cost would be 400 euros (ca. $518) for the package, all gear should be in mint condition. Do you consider this would be a fair deal?

Yes it is. At the very least you could make a little money if you had to resell the kit. But the camera and lenses are all very nice. and worth this price.

Plus you can get an adapter to use the lenses on a DSLR. The 120 would be sweet on a K10 or 20
An 80-160mm just sold on Ebay for $450 USD
A 45mm was bid up to $225 but didn't meet the reserve.
a 120mm sold for $250 and another sold with the same body for $335.00
So a good deal I think.

Thanks Peter!

I am very tempted, I just don't know that camera very good, I assume that it has some automation also, not just metering?

I passed up an offer for a 645 + 2 lenses that were selling for 350 euros. The deal simply looked too shady.

Here's a couple of helpful links. The 645 has many auto functions (P Av Sv Etc) but lacks AF, not as big a deal with this format as the screens are bright and it's much more designed for landscape type shooting rather than race cars.
Pentax 645 instruction manual, user manual, free PFD camera manuals

Pentax 645N & 645

If the 645D ever comes out (or they were to make a digital insert), you would be way ahead of everyone else and these lenses will go through the $$$ roof!

huh, i almost bought 645 with only one lens for 500€, so i'll call camera+3 lenses for less a really good offer. for what it's worth, i'd buy that.

That`s around 4$450 USD I think.

A couple of 645 and 75mm's together sold for $228, another at $192 and a 3rd for $320 with a grip.
A couple of 75mm's sold alone for around $200.

I can't find anything about the 105mm. Is that a 150mm maybe?

Oops typo It is indeed the 150.

But it seems to be a nice price? I'm thinking of putting out a bid of €350. Just did it.

This is a good thread by now, thanks to you Peter! The offer made to me is from a photographer who says he has taken only about 30 rolls of 120 with this rig, has kept it well, and - after discussing with me on the phone - is ready to ship to me with only my promise to pay to the attached account number, so seems quite trustworthy. He has not put it into any internet market place.

I have in the meantime read the manual and some information from the links Peter gave, even more tempting now.

One thing bothers me, the backup lithium battery, which could well be soon to be replaced, I have read contradictory info on weather it can be replaced by the user or must be sent to Pentax repair, any first hand info on that in this forum?
