Shutter Button Fell Out Pentax 645 Original

The shutter button fell out of the shutter button socket. Is there any easy way of reattaching or do I have to disassemble the grip?

You can download (free) the service manual for the 645 from the link below. Perhaps it may have a clue.

Unfortunately, I already check the 645 manual there. That is only for the body and not the grip.

Close examination, probably requiring magnification, of the button's features that interface with the three black latch parts (two visible in the photo), as well as examining the latch parts, will likely reveal whether the button needs to be replaced, or the latch parts need to be replaced. Otherwise, align the latch points on the button with the latches in the button holder, push the button back in, and see if the button stays latched in place.

This and other recent posts suggest that we may be entering the time where some plastics used in the 645 may have have degraded strength, perhaps due to lost plasticizers.
