Hello! New to film photography and bought an original Pentax 645 off ebay. It seems the viewfinder tunnel is loose and can be jiggled around quite a bit. Does anyone know what the deal is/ how to fix? I do not think it will hinder usability but it is quite annoying...

That looks unacceptable to me. Does it screw in?
I'll check on my 645Z, which looks essentially the same, and get back to you....

I dont think so. The focusing screen is not moving just the prism and shaft that connects to it. Not sure what i can do. I messaged the seller to let him know.

If you search the forum "645 loose viewfinder" I found a post where you can download the service manual from US Camera. It seems to be fixable.
