Longer Arca quick release plates for 645Z?

The Z has the 1st gen Really Right Stuff custom QR plates. They are really nice to hold in hand and the locking pins are great. However, for macro and panoramas it would be nice if they were longer. The extra slide room would make life easier. Does anyone make longer plates with anti twist pins that would fit the 645Z.

Thanks,
barondla

Sounds unlikely; that's a highly specialized request. I'd just add a nodal slide of the appropriate length.

Yes, I think the problem there is having the length and the anti-twist pin. I have the RRS plates with the pins; and I have longer plates, which are generic and have no pin. I've never seen a long plate with the pin.

I think baro-nite is right - the alternative is to use a long nodal slide.

As said, the long nodial rail ( or macro rail) would be the way to go, that way you would have to be removing it all the time and or moving it from base to the side mount, when shooting between portrait and landscape. . I have 110mm, 140mm and 200mm rails for various purposes, they come in handy for more than just the one application too.
