Can the 645z use a 512 GB Card?

The 645Z specification says SD, SDHC, and SDXC so you should be good up to 2TB.

I would rather use a few smaller cards; imagine you compromise a 512GB card; lots of pictures.

I agree. But it really depends on what you intend to shoot. If it is stills (zero knowledge on my part video requirements!) only a good quality card from the likes of SanDisk or Lexar would be my first choice. I used both without issue - beware, there are fakes knocking about, so buy from a reputable source.

512GB SanDisk @ £115.99 vs 64GB SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB @ £14.99. My preference would be to buy 8 x 64GB cards @ £120. Accepting YMMV

I have used these in the past and if you can get a similar deal offer good value and not speed overkill for the 645z
