How does one monitor the audio of a video recording on the 645Z? Is there a way to attach any kind of headphone or other monitor?

There is no way to monitor the audio of a video recording with the 645Z apart from looking at the VU meters during recording. It will be trial and error to set the mic input levels. There is a mic input port on the 645Z so you can get a stereo input as opposed to a mono input from the built-in microphone.

The best way might be to use an external audio recorder.
