Pentax 6x7 Film Advance Gets Jammed

Hoping someone can help. Around 18 months ago I was shooting
a roll of film and the advance lever started getting very stiff, ~9th shot it
stopped moving and I forced it. I broke the transport and had to get
the gears replaced by Eric H.

After getting the camera back it worked okay but the film advance
was still quite stiff, nothing to compare it with but I think it is stiffer
than it should be. Out taking pictures this morning and it jammed
after the 8-9th frame. It didn't advance far enough to cock the shutter.
This time I didn't force it, but unlocked the left unused film spool
and was able to get the film to advance and take one more frame.

After this the advance would just click (and move freely) but not
move the film. I opened the back and it was on the 9th frame....

Any ideas? I think Eric repaired the transport and gears correctly
but I think the cause of the gears breaking is something else. I was
thinking of running an expired roll of film through it?

I don't have any advise for your immediate problem. Last summer my 67 shutter wouldn't reset. I ended up sending it to Advance Camera in Portland, OR. They did a complete cleaning job. The camera had problems I wasn't aware of. It was purchased from Japan on Ebay. I used it one summer, and no-go after setting idle over the winter/spring. They found fungus, cleaned the innards, lubed, replaced seals and fixed the light meter that had quit working. I suggest you send yours to them for a tune-up.
