645z mirror delay before shutter opens after shutter press

For some reason there is always a slight delay between the mirror flipping up and the shutter curtains moving after I press the shutter. Tried resetting settings etc. Any idea on what sort of problem this might be?

Put a lens on it.
Check how the mirror lockup function works.

Mirror lockup works fine, same issues with or without lenses on. same with different shutter speeds, drive modes etc.

Haver you checked to see if the 2 sec delay is selected in the drive modes, the button above the OK button

Go fully manual - turn off the requirement for the image to be in focus before firing the shutter.
Is this a new camera, or new-to-you (used)?
